About Us
A warm home away from home, guiding little hearts toward a bright future.
Philosophy
At Light House Child Care Center, our philosophy is rooted in the belief that children thrive when they feel safe, loved, and truly known. Our home-based setting is designed to feel like a second home, offering a warm, familiar environment where little ones can relax, explore, and be themselves. We see each child as a whole person—with unique strengths, feelings, and ways of learning—and we create playful, hands-on experiences that nurture their social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Through daily routines, gentle guidance, and rich opportunities for play, we help children build confidence, curiosity, and a strong sense of belonging.
We also believe that consistency and relationships are the heart of quality care. Children are cared for by the same ECE each day, allowing deep trust to grow and giving educators the time to truly understand each child’s needs, personality, and learning style. This close connection helps us support positive habits, from self-help skills and cooperation to early literacy and school readiness. Families are our partners in this journey—we listen, share, and work together to create lifelong healthy habits and a bright foundation for each child’s future.
Health & Safety
At Light House Child Care Center, health and safety are at the heart of everything we do. Our home-based setting allows us to maintain a clean, well-organized environment where children can play and learn safely under close supervision. We follow consistent hygiene routines—like frequent handwashing, sanitizing high-touch areas, and safe toy rotation—to reduce germs and keep little ones healthy. Our small group size also means we can closely monitor each child’s well-being and respond quickly to their needs.
We know that good nutrition is key to growing bodies and minds. We provide balanced, age-appropriate snacks that focus on fresh, wholesome ingredients and limit added sugar and processed foods. Mealtimes are calm, unhurried moments where children are encouraged to try new foods, practice table manners, and listen to their bodies’ hunger and fullness cues.
